Stepping Stones Committee
The Pre-school is a non-profit making organisation and is run by an elected committee of volunteers, which ensures that major decision making is in the hands of the parents who use the group. The committee is responsible for reviewing both policy and practice, and for the employment of members of staff. Our Annual General Meeting, at which the committee for the following year is elected, is held in September, and we welcome all parents to come along to see how you could contribute!
What is involved?
There are lots of ways you can contribute to the committee and the good thing is you don’t need any experience to make a difference.
The committee also runs events through the year for vital fundraising for the Pre-school, and also to help parents get to know each other during these special years in the run-up to primary school. Help can also sometimes include covering staff in the setting when the need arises (all committee members MUST be DBS checked and registered).
Click here to read this document for more information about our committee and the role it takes. AND of course please ask any time if you have any questions or would like to be involved! The more the merrier!
